The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) founded in 1919, is the world’s largest and leading professional body of management accountants. CIMA’s is to help people and businesses to succeed in the public and private sectors. We have more than 227,000 members and students in 179 countries. They work at the heart of business in industry, commerce and not for profit organizations. CIMA has strong relationships with employers, and sponsor leading research.
The syllabus is strong on the core accounting skill, but also includes ‘Big Data’, sustainability, integrated reporting and finance function transformation. We also study risk, as well as costing and cost management. Passing your CIMA assessments at every level shows to an employer that you have a grasp of theory and practice.
All assessments are computer based and in the case of the objective tests are available ‘on demand’. We’re the first global accountancy body to pioneer a combination of computerized assessments to examine our syllabus. This reflects the wider use of technology in education and industry.
CIMA – CGMA is generally divided in 4 levels:
1. Certificate Level : 5 papers: C01, C02, C03, C04, C05
2. Operational Level : 3 papers: E1, P1, F1 & a Case study
3. Management Level : 3 papers: E2, P2, F2 & a Case study
4. Strategic Level : 3 papers: E3, P3, F3 & a Case study
